  Traditional upscale department store and one of my favorite places to shop for mens apparel and gifts for the girlfriend. Now that Macy's has left Peoria, this is one of the few places you can shop for quality dress and casual clothes. Good name brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, Kenneth Cole, Kenneth Roberts, and Geoffrey Beene. There is an assortment of upscale household items and colognes and perfumes. While the associates are knowledgeable and friendly, one associate in particular is outstanding. That would be Bakhos Trad in the men's section. Bakhos knows mens apparel from suits to socks. He's my go to guy for all things related to menswear and I seek him out whenever possible. He also alerts me to store discounts and coupons which save me a considerable amount of money. I highly recommend him to assist you.

  Has to be one of the worst department store with not at all helpful! We had a watch that we bought on bergners charge card. Without telling us any policy about return policy or whatever, they insisted on taking the links off the watch. To fit the wrist! Obviously we agreed since it was a big purchase. Little did we knew, a family friend gifted same watch to us. We hoped to return the watch we got!!! But the manager and the sales associate were so rude... and kept talking about the policy which obviously were known to us.. but not about the links! There is never enough staff! Managers need to learn how to talk. Basic ethics and maners would do them wonders! Not going to lie, we shop most at bergners cause of their deals but basic ethics and manerless managers are going to lose our business

  Very disappointed with poor customer service in men's shoes department at Bergner's today. The staff could not have been more rude and dismissive of my request to exchange some Johnson and Murphy shoes that were coming unstitched after 8 months- not acceptable for expensive shoes. I had the receipt so they just needed to exchange them but instead they have lost a customer today.
